lately,
i can't sleep.
it's not that i physically
can't sleep,
it's just that i don't have the
time to spare.
think of all the late nights / early mornings
that i could be spending with you:
we could talk about stuff,
we could listen to music,
we could watch tv,
we could look at each other,
we could make out.
but - oh darn - i'm asleep.
is that worth it?
the human body can survive
on minimal resources,
but the human heart
is not nearly as resilient.
so, i wonder,
is my half-asleep, wide-eyed, scatter-brained state
due to sleep deprivation
or does this have something to do with
you?
